Periodic Trends: Atomic Radii

Science
Stage 5,6
Chemistry

The atomic radius of a chemical element is the distance from the center of the nucleus to the boundary around the electron cloud. As the periodic table moves from left to right, the atomic radius decreases as the atomic number increases. In homologous elements, the atomic radius increases with the increase of the atomic number.
